This quaint ghat lies in close proximity to the Howrah Bridge and is an ideal site to enjoy a morning or evening stroll. During colonial times, Outram Ghat was the perfect site to enjoy nature walks. It was also a major port for many foreign cargo vessels. This ghat has been named after a valorous general of the British army, Sir James Outram.
