The beautifully carved caves of Mizoram invite adventure seekers from different parts of the country and are one of the most sought-after tourist spots in the Northeastern state. Well-known caves in Mizoram include Lamsial and Pukzing caves in Aizawl district and Kungawrhi Puk Cave and Milu Puk in Lunglei. The Pukzing Cave is the biggest in Mizoram and also one of the most visited. All these caves have a legend, myth or folktale attached to them. Kungawrhi Puk Cave is particularly popular and is located about 30 km from Aizawl in Ailawng near Reiek. Many believe it to be the longest cave in the state of Mizoram, about 162 m long.
