The Sugriveswar Temple

THE SUGRIVESWAR TEMPLE

Built in the 12th century, the majestic Sugriveswar Temple is built up of two towers called Vimanam. Situated on the shores of the Nallar River, the temple’s majestic structure reflects the architectural style prevalent in the Pandya Kingdom. This temple has various other structures belonging to the Chola Dynasty. It is believed that around five Shivalingams are present in the temple complex.
