The capital city of Chhattisgarh, Raipur was founded by the Kalchuri King Ram Chandra in the late 14th century. This information is debatable, as some sources say that Raipur was built by King Ram Chandra, however some sources say Kalchuri King Brahmdeo Rai established the city and so it was named after him as ‘Raipur’.
