Culinary blends of French and South Indian

  • Baguettes and Croissants


    Inspired by its French legacy, the locals here till date prefer having crisp baguettes and freshly baked croissants with a steaming cups of coffee for breakfast.

  • Curried Vegetables


    Another local delicacy, it is a delicious vegetarian dish filled with various nutritious vegetables. An irresistibly tasty vegetarian dish, it is healthy and wholesome as well.

  • Dosa


    A shallow fried pancake dish made from rice and black gram. The semi-liquid batter for this item is prepared and spread with a ladle on a flat pan (with oil) in the shape of a round chapatti (Indian bread) and fried crisp. It is stuffed with boiled and sauted potatoes and served with sambar and coconut chutney.

  • Idli


    A savoury dish made from semolina or rice. These appear like white pancakes, but vegetables and spices can be added to make it more colourful and flavourful. It can relished with coconut chutney and Sambar.

  • KaduguYerra


    An incredible curry made with prawns cooked in a spicy tomato sauce with potatoes, vinegar, fenugreek and mustard paste and creamy coconut milk. It is one of the favourite dishes in Puducherry.

  • Other Delicacies


    Coconut Curry, Tandoori Potato, Soya Dosa, Podanlangkai, Assad, KaduguYerra, Curried Vegetables, Stuffed Cabbage, Palpayasam (Sweet Milk), are some of the other delicacies that find much favour in Puducherry.

  • Vada


    A deep-fried savoury item made from lentils. These delights are deep fried golden-brown and served with Sambar, a traditional south Indian stew. It is served at roadside eateries and big hotels and restaurants.
