SPANISH MOSQUE

Spanish Mosque or the Mosque of the Moors or Masjid Iqbal Ud Daula is one of the major attractions of Secunderabad, situated in Begumpet. The Spanish Mosque was built by Paigah Nawab, Nawab Sir Iqbal Ud Daula in Hispanic style of architecture in the year 1906. This Mosque is inspired by the Cathedral-Mosque of Cordoba, exterior and interior are quite symmetrical to the Cathedral-Mosque. Because of its unique Hispanic style of Architecture, is also known as The Mosque Of The Moors. The stand-out feature is the spires instead of the usual minarets or domes; they give this mosque a church-like appearance. This Mosque is one and only one of its kind in India.
