One of the most picturesque viewpoints in the area, Neelimala is a serene picnic spot that is flanked by beautiful and aromatic coffee and ginger plantations. Trekking to the viewpoint is totally worth the effort as one can see splendid views of the Meenmutti Waterfalls and the majestic Western Ghats. The hiking trail is blessed with some beautiful flowery plants and as you climb higher, the landscape changes to a large grassland. The hike to Neelimala viewpoint is also a treat for birdwatchers as the area is home to a variety of bird species.
