On the ninth day of the Saraswati Festival, the popular shrine of Goddess Saraswati is visited by a large number of devotees who come with their children as it is considered auspicious and pious. The temple is flocked by devotees who wish to perform Vidyarambha Kanike, a Hindu tradition practiced in South India on the occasion of Vijayadashami, where children are formally introduced to learning of languages and various folk art forms like music and dance. The ceremony is done in the Mantap while hymns and Vedas are chanted.

The temple is also famous for music performances which are done by talented artistes in the honour of Goddess Saraswati. Tourists can also see amazing Bharatnatyam performances by kids, who come to worship.
