The backwater of the Koyna Dam, Tapola Lake is a good site for boating. As is the pretty Venna Lake surrounded by trees on all sides. The lush greenery and blue waters combine to make for a relaxed experience at both these lakes. Boating is quite enjoyable and guests can also see a spectacular sunset while watching native birds glide over the glassy surface of the lake. You can take some lovely pictures of the lake and the abounding greenery. Venna seems to come alive in the evenings, with birds diving in and out of the water.

There is no entry fee, but visitors have to pay a modest fee for the boat ride that is usually available in slots of 30 minutes and one hour. The rates also differ for row boats and peddle boats.
