To get a closer view of the ethnic culture and traditions of the region, a visit to the District Museum is a must. It has a number of exhibits of jewellery, utensils, native art, paintings and armour. The museum was opened to the public on August 2, 2006, and was set up with an aim to preserve the archaeological riches of the region. The major attractions of the museum are stone works, paintings and sculptures. One will be left awestruck by the metal carvings and unique stone artefacts that grace the museum. Other interesting features include blue pottery, leather craft and ivory brass work.

 

Exhibits like arms, armour, utensils, stuffed animals reflect the rich tribal culture and heritage of the region.
