Being the highest point in the Ilaveezhapoonchira range, Kannadipara, meaning rock mirror, is a valley of rocky mountains that reflects sun rays like a mirror. One of the finest attractions in Kottayam, it is covered with bamboo forests, wild blossoms and glades, and is punctuated by the Kazhukankulimali Waterfall, falling furiously down the mountains. To the east of Kannadipara, lies a fort that is set amidst rocks and is worth a visit.

Another attraction is the Pazhakakanam Plateau, about 3 km away, that looks beautiful being fed by the Kadapuzha river.
