Thirparappu Falls

Located on the outskirts of Kanyakumari, the enchanting Thirparappu Falls make for a charming sight. Cascading down a height of 50 ft, these gushing manmade falls are set amid picturesque greens. The pristine water gets collected in a pool, which is a particular favourite with children as they can frolic around with abandon. Tourists can enjoy a boat ride in the waters of the falls and have a fun-filled afternoon. You can also head to a small temple of Lord Shiva that is located at the entrance of the falls.

Etch the memories of your trip to Kanyakumari with the celestial happenstance of sunrise, sunset and moonrise. On full moon days, enjoy the special spectacle of the moon rising and the sun setting simultaneously. On Chitra Purnima in April, both moon and sun face each other on the same horizon. To witness this incredible phenomenon, one can head to the Vivekananda Rock, floating amidst a pristine expanse of water.
