The President of India’s official residence during his southern journeys is the Rashtrapati Nilayam. The 76-acre property is home to a sprawling herbal garden that boasts 116 types of medicinal plants and herbs. It is a one-storey building that comprises a dining hall, a cinema hall, a durbar hall where the President meets visitors during the day, a ceremonial hall and a morning room. In addition, there are 16 rooms for the President and staff. Owing to its 150 years of history, it has been given a heritage tag by the Heritage Conservation Committee (HCC). It is situated in the Bolarum township of Secunderabad.While visiting here, one is not allowed to carry food, water bottles, briefcases, mobile phones or radios.
