Expenditure on Advertisements to Promote Tourism in Foreign Countries

 

The Ministry  of  Tourism  undertakes  various  promotional  and  marketing  activities  including  advertising to  promote  tourism products and destinations in    major international  markets overseas. Several  of  these  advertisements  are  released to  cover  many  countries  and regions  and  are  not  country  specific. The expenditure  on  this  account is  incurred  from  the  budget  allocated  under  the Restructured Scheme of  Overseas  Promotion  & Marketing Development  Assistance (OPMD).  The details of the expenditure incurred during the last three  years and the current  year under  OPMD head  is  as  below:-
