Maa Majhighariani Temple
Travel to Rayagada and you will be confronted by a symbol of Hindu India in the spiritually important Maa Majhighariani Temple, the number-one attraction of this place that draws a large number of pilgrims daily. Maa Majhighariani is the presiding deity of Rayagada and famous in southern division of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Only the face of Maa Majhighariani is worshipped on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Chaitri Parab is the famous festival of this temple.
Located 4 km from the town, this is a place of great scenic beauty with two waterfalls on the course of river Nagavali. The boulders here appear like huge elephants.
