Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi
Birthplace of Lord Krishna, it is one of the most scared places in the world for the Hindus.

Dwarkadheesh Temple
Built in 1814 by Seth Gokul Das Parikh in, it is the main temple in the town. Located in the heart of the city, this revered shrine is decorated on a grandiose scale during the festive days of Holi, Janmashthami and Diwali.

Vishram Ghat
One of most famous ghats in Mathura, this is the sacred spot where Lord Krishna is believed to have rested after slaying Kansa

Gita Mandir
One of the famous shrines in Mathura located on its outskirts; this marble temple has exquisite paintings and beautiful carvings.

Government Museum
Contribution of Mathura to Indian art is immense. This is the place from where the renowned Mathura School of art originated. Some authorities credit this school with producing the first image of the Buddha. Established in the year 1874, the Government museum, which remains open every day except on Mondays and public holidays, has an impressive collection of the works of art produced by the Mathura school. Kala Vividha Art Gallery – it is situated within the Government Museum .

Jama Masjid
Built in 1661.A.D. the mosque has 4 lofty minarets, with bright colored plaster mosaic of which a few panels currently exist.
Kans Qila, Sati Burj, Assikunda & Swami Ghat are other places of interest in Mathura.
