Mukutmanipur is a small town in Bankura district of West Bengal in the east of India, situated at a distance of 8 km from the sub-divisional centre of Khatra, 53 km from the district town of Bankura and 262 km from Kolkata, the state capital. It is located at the confluence of the Kangsabati and Kumari rivers and is close to the Jharkhand state border.

BY AIR:The nearest airport is at Kolkata, connected to all hubs of India.

BY ROAD: Buses are available directly from Kolkata to Mukutmanipur (journey time: 8-9 hrs) and also from Durgapur to Mukutmanipur (98 kms, journey time: 2 hours)

BY TRAIN: Nearest railheads are at Bankura, Durgapur, and Kolkata. Train service is available from Howrah station at Kolkata to Bankura station (journey time: 4.5 hrs). From Bankura, hop on to a direct bus to Mukutmanipur (journey time: 1 hr). Another option is to take the express train from Kolkata to Durgapur (journey time: 2 hr)and then proceed on the bus.
