Cuisine :The visitors can enjoy the taste of an indigenous tribal cuisine during the home stay, apart from farm-fresh cereals, a number of uncultivated food items, seasonal fruits and forest honey.

Fairs and festivals:November is the month of festival in the villages located in the banks of river Narmada. The tribal spiritual seat Madhiyaji attracts thousands of pilgrims from remote villages of the neighbouring states during the nine-day-long festival known as Chaitra Navaratri. Chougan is also popular for its harvest festival, Madhai.

The rituals performed here are singular in nature owing to their retaining the antiquity. Burning ashes and metal tridents comprise the symbol of goddesses inside the sanctum sanctorum of the seat, unlike the decorated deities and illuminations in other place of worships.
