Cuisine: A range of sweet and savory rice preparations and lentils, sweets with coconut and sesame seeds, millet-based breads made on an open fire, a variety of non-vegetarian spicy meats, all accompanied by a variety of chutneys and banana fritters, make up the daily food fare here. A popular breakfast constitutes Mirchi and Oggarani. Seasonal fruits like Targola, Papaya, Mango and dates are popular too.

Fairs and festivals: The annual fair in the month of April and the Anegundi Utsav in November are the prime attractions and a must do for visitors. An added attraction in the same period is the Hampi Utsav, visited by travelers from around the world.
