    Namaste Friends,
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as always, was part of the annual World Travel Market (WTM), the international travel industry's premier business-to-business forum, held in London, U.K., from 14th to 17th November, 2005. Led by Smt. Renuka Chowdhury, Minister of State for Tourism, the Indian delegation included 19 state tourism bodies and 48 private sector participants, covering the wide gamut of India’s tourism offerings. The Ministry of Tourism took advantage of the forum to hold a press conference, promote India to Tour Operators over breakfast, and host a sell-out “India Evening” that showcased India’s wonderous culture and heritage.

A single state in India has all of the following: the country’s largest waterfall, its densest forests, its largest amphitheatre, and its oldest tribal communities. To top it all, it has superb roads and hasn’t yet been discovered by tourists. Can you guess which state this is? No? Let me tell you then, it’s Chhattisgarh, one of India’s newest states, yet a land that finds mention in ancient literature and inscriptions. Blessed by nature, inhabited by shy tribals, brimming over with enchanting legends, this is virgin territory, with a plethora of offerings for the most jaded of travelers. Want to know more? While others may claim breathtaking locales, the mysticism of the east, the draw of civilization, the call of the wild.... India is that and much more.....
It is a journey of mind and soul.
It is a journey of the five senses
It is a journey of self-discovery
It is a journey of self-fulfillment.
